The Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

The Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, RUE, was established in accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 242 dated 18.04.2006. 

The main objective of the Centre's activity is to focus scientific effort on solving of the urgent tasks of designing of new competitive foodstuff lines for various population groups, development of new technologies


Main tasks of the Centre

Establish essentially new theoretical base and provide for comprehensive substantial and applied scientific research aimed at development of methodology to produce top-priority competitive foodstuffs

Design, develop and implement new technologies (biotechnologies) processing of crop and livestock for production of a wide range of foodstuffs.

Provide for development of various domestic types of foodstuff, and functional, preventive, health improving and special purpose food products, including those for children, in compliance with the international quality, safety and competition standards

Provide for control of raw product and foodstuff quality in compliance with the standards

Carry out targeted training of high qualification specialists in food industry domains especially necessary at the current stage, and retraining of personnel under new food industry technologies
